Senior BIM Manager
The Opportunity:
Perkins Eastman DC PLLC needs a Senior BIM Manager for our Washington, DC location. May telecommute up to two days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Create + manage digital models of buildings + infrastructure projects.
· Enhance project coordination + collaboration by utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies + methodologies throughout all stages of project. Collaborate w/ architects, engineers, + other stakeholders to develop + implement BIM strategies for projects.
· Create, modify, + maintain accurate 3D models of buildings + infrastructure using BIM software. Ensure consistency + integrity of BIM models by managing + validating information contained within.
· Use BIM tools to generate 2D + 3D models, clash detection reports, quantity takeoffs, + other project deliverables.
· Facilitate coordination meetings + identify + resolve clashes or conflicts between various building systems.
· Participate in BIM coordination w/ subcontractors to assist in clash or conflict detection.
· Train + support team members in BIM software + technologies.
· Stay current w/ trends + advancements in BIM technology + recommend process improvement.
Required Qualifications:
· Must have a Bachelor’s in architecture, Engineering, Regional Planning, or rel field and 10 years rel experience working on government and public projects using local and federal design and BIM standards.
· Also requires skills (10 years exp) in: working with Autodesk Revit; applying construction practices and building codes; clash detection and coordination process; creating and managing 3D models, including creating families, developing parametric relationships and applying metadata; data exchange formats including IFC and DWG; and National BIM Standard-United States (NBIMS-US).
Type: Hybrid. 3 days in office 2 days working remotely, flexible days/working hours. May undergo background checks. The salary range is $112,195-$120,000 annually.
